Essential Araki, one of his most beautifully themed books, and a perfect document of the obsessive nature of his style. Some of the cats seem to be familiar with Araki, in a sense they react similarly to Sachin, acting in front of the camera and even assuming human characteristics. He manages to convey the territorial ambitions of cats. A 24pp section in the middle of the book is printed on brown paper. The book was published just after Araki's 53rd birthday. After 'Aishi no Chiro' (Heibonsha, 1990) and 'Nekotopia, Nekomania' (Ota Shuppan, 1990), this is his third and best book on the subject. No copy in OCLC. (Titus Boeder, 4007)
