Essential Araki, one of his most beautifully themed books, and a perfect document of the obsessive nature of his style. Some of the cats seem to be familiar with Araki, in a sense they react similarly to Sachin, acting in front of the camera and even assuming human characteristics. He manages to convey the territorial ambitions of cats. A 24pp section in the middle of the book is printed on brown paper. The book was published just after Araki's 53rd birthday.
